Easter Sunday

On Easter morning
Christ’s tombstone was rolled away
To reveal “He’s gone!”
The open tomb was
For flesh to enter and see
Not for Christ to leave!
Christ was triumphant
Defeating death and Satan!
Believers rejoice!
Hallelujah to
The King of kings, Lord of all!
He’s risen, Indeed!

The Blood Mobile

Modern blood-letting
Saving lives pint by a pint
Not via leeches.

On Break of Day

Night dawns into morn
Coffee perking aroma
Stirs senses awake
Sleep-filled cognizance
Gradually enlivens
To the coming day.
